How much money do I have to pay for a 270.000 home owners insurance in hollywood florida?
Answer:
OK, first of all, it’s going to depend on how close the house is to the water, your credit score, if you’re living in it, how old the house is, and your claims history. If everything is PERFECT, the homeowners insurance part is going to cost about ,000 a year. The wind part is going to cost another ,000 a year, depending on how soon you buy it (Citizens is getting a 55% rate increase soon), and the flood is probably going to run you about 00 a year.
The hard part is going to be finding someone willing to write it. There isn’t exactly any competition in Florida for homeowners insurance.
Is home insurance a waste of money?
My grandparents seem to think so! they’ve got a huge house with lots of priceless things but gran can be very thrifty as she said she was born into poverty and used to always tell me what it was like growing up during the war. She said that you’re paying someone for nothing and that basically you’d be begging them to help you if anything went wrong and that they don’t really have to pay out so your paying money for nothing, what do you think? xxxx
Answer:
I would always have insurance for my home and its contents.
We live in an end house and had an ornamental wall of huge length that surrounded the whole house. A few months ago young vandals pulled about a third of the wall down. We would not have been able to afford the £2,000 it cost to rebuild it and were really glad our insurance covered it.
does your home owners insurance cover a new stove if there was an electric fire and smoke damage?
Answer:
Depends on the type of policy you have.
Some policies are replacement cost. This pays for the cost of a new stove similar to your existing stove. It will not pay the complete cost of an upgrade. But you can take the money and apply it toward an upgrade if you wish.
Some policies are actual cash value. That means they take depreciation. It will pay the cost of a new stove less deprecation.
In either case, your deductible will apply.
You should give your agent a call on money or go by his/her office and ask them. Since they can see the details of your policy – your agent will be your best source of information.
How much is home-based insurance?
I am thinking of making money with waxing.
I was just wondering how much it would cost me to pay insurance for myself, I am thinking I just need errors and omissions (i.e. liability in case a client decides to sue me).
FYI I live in Canada.
Thanks!
Answer:
You’ll need “trip and fall” coverage, also, and property coverage. And your homeowners will probably cancel you, if you run a salon out of your house.
Salon coverage is pretty cheap; even with professional liability, with “one chair” you can probably find it for around 0 a year.

All these other issues you are focused on have nothing to do with the situation.
do I have to rebuild a home destroyed by tornado with insurance payout?
My home was destroyed in a tornado. Can I use the insurance money to pay off the mortgage and walk away from the property or do I have to rebuild the home. All my kids have grown and my wife and I would like to start over in Arizona, but she thinks we are required to rebuild the house and then try to sell it if we want to start over.
Answer:
Very simply you are not obligated to rebuild. You would be entitled to receive an Actual Cash Value settlement (Actual Cash value excluding the value of the land). If that settlement is enough to pay off your mortgage then it’s “Honey, pack your bags were going to Arizona”.
How much money , generally would home insurance go up for owning a trampoline?
thanks
Answer:
Most insurers will not even insure you with a trampoline. If you purchase the insurance before you purchase the trampoline, then your insurance will not go up, but be prepared if they come out for inspection or you have a claim early in the policy to prove to them when you purchased it, because if they think you had it at the time you applied for the insurance & they would not have insured you if you had one, then they will void the policy for material misrepresentation.
Trampolines are dangerous. I know of some very serious injuired including a toddler getting killed for crawling under & getting jumped on. Other injuries were a broken spine, broken ankle & borken cuccyx, I could go on & on & this is in a very rural area.
Also, it is an attractive nuisance, meaning, even if someone is traspassing on your property (even if your land is posted) and they jump & get hurt, you are liable.
You will have to do a lot of shopping to find an insurer that will insure you with a trampoline. There is a reason the insurers won’t insure people with them – HUGE liability payouts.
Oh, if State Farm will insure them, go for it, they eventually won’t anymore because they will be getting all of them & this is known as “adverse selection” , they will start paying out big claims & then will no longer insure them before long.
is it good to have earthquake Insurance for Home?
We just had an earthquake yeasterday, nothing happened to my house but they say there is going to be a big one in the future so should i get earthquake insurance or i should not? because i just bought the house and the economy is bad so money is kind of tight so please give me some ideas?
Answer:
Yes, it is worth it. A little known fact is that Californians do not have the Earthquake Authority as their only choice for quake insurance. There are other companies, like Fidelity and Pacific Select which not only offer better and more coverage but lower deductibles. I had quake insurance during the Northridge and Whittier Narrows quake through the Earthquake Authority and though I had coverage, the deductible was ridiculous. With my new policy, I have a much lower deductible and could actually rebuild my home with the coverage I have if it were a total devastation. Even if I just have losses, I’m better covered.
How does the replacement close on home owners insurance work?
Does it pay in full for used items?
Answer:
Replacement cost on homeowners insurance is one of the areas that brings the most questions during a claim. Many people assume they get the all the money up front for their items but that is not how it works. Replacement Cost (RC) coverage pays you today’s cost to replace an item but it comes with a few catches. Depending on your policy wording and state it may vary a bit but here is how it should work.
First off, technically everything you own, no matter if you bought it new or used is actually “used” and not considered brand new so that really isn’t an issue.
Let’s assume you have had a kitchen fire and your 5 yr old microwave was destroyed. The insurance company will have you tell them everything you know about the microwave. The make, model, size, age and what you paid for it (what you paid for it really isn’t that important in the whole process).
The company will do research to see if the same make and model is still available. If it isn’t they will find one that is similar. Let’s say they find one that is similar and it costs 0.00 brand new. The company will subtract depreciation from the 0.00 RC. Probably something like 30%. In this example 30% of 0 = 45.00. The dollars is subtracted from the 0.00 leaving what is called Actual Cash Value (ACV). The company pays you the 5.00 up front. Then you have 180 days to replace the item. Once you replace it then you send a copy of the receipt to the company and they will then send you the .
There is another little catch to the whole thing. Let’s say you buy the microwave for 0 instead of 0 then you after you send in the receipt you get .00 not .00.
Good Luck
Are there any legitimate insurance companies out there that you can work from home w/o paying big $$ to do it.
Looking to work at home as an insurance agent – I have a liscense but I don’t want to do any MLM thingie or spend a ton of money buying crappy leads for a company that promises the moon and the stars. I want to do my part but I want a company that keeps their word (integrity)
Answer:
“If a company requires initial payment from you in order to work for them, they are not legitimate.”
There are a few legitimate data entry companies but are not hiring and have large waiting lists (1-2yrs). The majority of data entry jobs you seen online are scams. A real company will want you to have skills inc fast typing, may want you to know MS Excel, and will usually ask that you have high speed internet. Once in a long while you may found one online on a job website but thats rare.
If you do an advanced search on yahoo, you will find previous answers, sometimes the info on these is good as the info they gave is likely to have been verified if the answer was voted as ‘Best’.
